Our promise to you:
The session is confidential between the client and the therapist. It will not be shared with anyone except where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others.
Therapists are required to carry out continual professional development, and to engage in regular on-going clinical supervision. This is to ensure an ethical and professional service to clients. Your case may be talked about in supervision, but no identifying details are disclosed.
Material explored in sessions will only ever be disclosed in exceptional circumstances where a risk is posed to yourself or others.
Notes may be taken after each session, which will be kept in accordance with the updated GDPR requirements.
No names or identifiers are used in the notes, and they are not disclosed to anyone, unless required by a court of law. We are legally required to hold on to notes for seven years after which they will be safely destroyed. You have the right to inspect your records should you wish, and this request will be fulfilled during a therapy session.
